Just watched the Steven Spielberg adaptation of H.G. Wells book War of the Worlds. I have to admit that was one of scariest movies I've seen in a while. The thought of being under attack without any warning is terrifying. Here I am sitting on my couch in my underwear watching movies, getting the creeps just thinking about big metal arms just busting through my roof and taking me away. Death is scary but I appreciate life more thinking about it.I thought it was also really cool to learn more about the radio broadcasts in 1938 that spooked people into thinking what was being read to them was real. Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2012 Stumbled across this beautiful picture of Kate Moss today. At first, I looked past the super embellished, embroidery look from this season. However, after a second glance I realized that I need a little of this style in my wardrobe. Trying to be a more little ladylike once in a while ;) A contrast of soft and hard. Soft, sheer light colored fabric mixed with hard metals. Those metal toe shoes are hot. Oh, and that logo flask is very clever. - Mar 03, 12

I never really watch these events but I LOVE the outfits. The floor length fishtail look was my favorite and all my picks have really well put together hair and makeup that enhance their outfits too.

Wrapping up 2011 with this kick ass video from summer! Back in August, Jakprints (where I work) put together an event called Jak of all Trades. An accumulation of music, skateboarding, bike polo, food trucks and fashion by employees, local vendors, clients and friends all toether in our back parking lot! I volunteered to put together a fashion show using apparel from local clients that use Jakprints and it turned out awesome!So happy to be a part of it and can't wait for new things to come in 2012.Big thanks to Keitj T. Alin for putting this together for me. I've worked with Keitj on a few other projects this year and he has been a pleasure to work with. MAC makeup thinks so and I couldn't agree more.
We first learned the real world of aids in the early 90's
when Pedro Zamora told his story.
Now it's MAC makeup and Lady Gaga
using her celebrity status to spread awareness.
I hate to say it, but I think our society has made such an effort to make everyone aware of cancer lately that we've forgotten about AIDS. Don't get me wrong, cancer is a horrible horrible thing and it saddens me to hear of anyone diagnosed with it. But, while cancer can be cured in many cases, the HIV virus is only treatable. With how much unhidden sex appeal is in our media now a days, it's easy to look past what a bad decision unsafe sex can be.
Spread the word and stop the disease.
What can I do to help you ask? Well, I don't know about you but I don't mind laying some Viva Glam lipstick on my lips. It's wonderful to see just how much purchasing one lipstick can help. Check out this link for more information about the MAC aids fund.
p.s. No, I don't work at MAC.
It just feels good to know that of my favorite everyday used products can help make a difference!

While I've never seen the trilogy of movies or read the books, the newest adaptation coming out in December of this year looks intriguing. I may have to pick up the book before I watch the movie.

I keep seeing this rainbow bright rapper babe everywhere. Finally looked her up and I must admit, her new song "Gucci, Gucci" is pretty damn catchy. Her style is interesting. Kinda like a lady gaga type, with less show.

This is amazing!! I need to get to Chicago STAT! There is currently a 26-foot-tall sculpture of Marilyn Monroe standing in her famous pose from the movie 'The Seven Year Itch'. It's looks so real (kudos artist Seward Johnson). Made from stainless steel and aluminum the statue weighs about 34,000lbs. We've got til next spring to go see it. Who's coming with me? - Jun 18, 11
